Looking back to 2010 ~ Working in the fashion retail and styling world in New York for the past twenty years, I gained a wealth of knowledge, experience and most importantly a dedicated private retail client base. But I was most excited by my work when I launched PureThread. The decision to transform my entire business and apply my extensive know how to ethically and sustainably sourced garments and products brought Jocelyn Whipple into my life.

With my well developed taste and eye for quality, I was actively searching for the best eco brands in the world in order to offer my private client base of women who enjoy boutique and luxury clothing in their lives the added benefits of sustainability and fair trade.
It was Jocelyn who helped me form an extensive brand list and created a strong porfolio of contacts and collaborations that work well for my clients and became the heart of PureThread’s offering year after year.

Jocelyn became my mentor, and friend, and if not for her, I might have thrown in the organic cotton towel long ago. It is Jocelyn that keeps me going. For 2 years she worked diligently as my consultant – educating me with respect to brands, fabrications, and more. With over 10 years of experience and extensive knowledge of sustainable fashion, she is one of the early pioneers in the eco fashion movement – she has complete and valuable knowledge of brands, fabrication, and in depth understanding of all of the supply chain issues within the fashion industry. Jocelyn offers complete and in depth insight into the growing area of sustainable fashion, and I have come to trust and rely on Jocelyns approval for all of the brands I represent.

I look forward to our weekly Skype meeitngs – whether it was about a buying plan based on 5 key fabrications, or an introduction to eco fashion workshops, our conversations are continually inspiring and are the link that keeps me going forward in the fashion world. We share a common bond and love for one another, as business associates, and outgoing Sagittarius women, the archer in us is always looking up, and onward. Her attitude to beauty is “if it’s all natural, it’s all good”. She’s the absolute best!
